It
is not the home at the Tipton-Haynes Farmstead that is reportedly haunted, but
the nearby cave. On certain summer nights the glow of a ghostly campfire
can be seen. Around the campfire are ghostly figures of pioneers and
Cherokee Indians that have long been dead. There were times when Indians
and pioneer families used to share the cave at the same time during travels.
It is said that the spirit of Daniel Boone has also been witnessed.
